I have suffered from this condition for my whole life and some years ago was considered for a sympathectomy but I did not proceed. I just learnt to live with it - or to hide it I should say - but a few months ago saw a magazine article which mentioned iontophoresis and thought I would look into it.
I have now had the idromed ps 5 for 5 days and last night realised that despite the temperature (around 30 degrees) my right hand was dry. (The rest of me was hot and sweaty but the right hand was dry!)
I have been using the machine three times daily for 15 minutes -30 minutes each time and being sensitive, have only managed to get to 8mA.
As I need my right hand for handshaking in a new job next Monday, I have used positive polarity twice daily on my right hand as it is much stronger.
I can't believe it!
Once I have both hands and feet under control, I am looking forward to starting my teenage son on the treatment as he also suffers from this condition. I'm going to ring the Brisbane Skin Foundation and tell them of my success so that they can help other people by directing them to this treatment.
Oh - did I mention that the service is second to none - every concern and query that you have is given full and immediate attention.

concerning the mA for the hands, it is really good that you have a pulsed current device, with a direct current iontophoresis machine you would surly only be able to stand a much lower current. however, by and by you can surly drive higher currents in the future, after only 5 days the skin has - in my mind - not really get used to the current.
i would love to hear from you in a further post when you are finally dry and fightet sweaty hands and feet down with iontophoresis
