For the USA and Japan where voltages are 110V, you need the step-up convertor to achieve the 220/240V needed for the Idromed to work.

Hidrex iontophoresis machines have a 110-240 Volt widerange plug.

In America you don't need any another thing besides the transformer, since the Idromed has the standard US 3 nose plug.

For Australia you don't need a step-up transformer, since the Idromed works at 220/240 V.

The transformer for the iontophoresis devices delivers 45 Watts max. This is enough because the device itself only needs 1 watt to work.
