For the USA and Japan where voltages are 110V, you need the step-up convertor to achieve the 220/240V needed for the Idromed to work. http://iontophoresis-device.com/sweating/iontophoresis/step-up-transformator-110-to-240-v.html Hidrex iontophoresis machines have a 110-240 Volt widerange plug. In America you don't need any another thing besides the transformer, since the Idromed has the standard US 3 nose plug. Quote: What about the current or voltage difference in Europe and America?
