Iontophoresis: The DC and PC devices both produce a direct current. The pulsed iontophoresis machines, according to this statement have a pulsating direct current.
We recommend changing the polarity for your iontophoresis treatments every week.
You do not need to change the polarity every time you use the machine. There are lots of suggestions on the internet that you should switch polarity during the second half of each therapy session. This effect is not as significant as it is made out to be.
You may change polarity in the following cases:
When f.e. both hands, armpits or feet sweat the same way.
You want to get sooner dry e.g. on the right hand (for handshake), in this case treat simple only with the + pole to the right till it is dry, then change, doing the other hand.
You do not need to change polarity in these cases:
1) If you treat hands and feet at similar settings with the Idromed and the Hidrex (you can treat both hands and feet at the same time with this device) then you can lay the + Pole to the feet (it has a slightly stronger effect).
2) One palm, armpit or foot sweats more: Put the positive (+) electrode to the part that sweats more.
3) One part treated is much more sensitive than the other, then it is maybe the best idea to lay the stronger side (+ pole) to the not so sensitive part.
Further information aboute sense and nonsense of a automatical polarity change for iontophoresis units you can find here:

| Quote: | Hi, i just have a quick question. In the instructions it says to swith the polarity before every the 5th treatment?
What does it mean? Do i need to swith the polarity only for the 5th treatment? Or it is for the 5th to the 10th treatment before i switch back? |

In my case, on my hands treatment, i noticed that when i use "+" on my right hand for a week it starts sweating a little bit on top of the fingers. So, next week when i use "-" (also on right hand) it makes it dry again.
So, i think for me the "-" has more efect on my hands. |

I also cheked if i connected the cables right: cable "+" to pole "+"...

i meant that it is maybe a fault on the production or manufactoring side, if they connected the poles interior false than is is maybe the opposite that is stated on the device... _________________ You are welcome...
