Hi,
I bought the DC machine 2.5 years ago. It worked good for me.
Now, I can't suffer the pain during the treatment because the current
make me small cuts.I rub Nivea cream and put on socks but it still
pain. The Max. current I can stand is 10mA.
Now, I am thinking of buy the PC machine and I wanted to ask:
1. Is it really less painfull ?
2. Will it dry my feet as the DC did ?
3. Can I use higher current ?
I must add that my sweating is severe and when I am not using the machine
my feet are dripping !
I will gladly hear from your experience with the PC machine.
Thanks,
N.

Hi Nir, as we tell on every of our pages that we are absolutly the opinion that Pulsed iontophoresis current wins miles over the direct current:

1. Is it really less painfull ?
Else a Pulsed Current device would make no sense.
2. Will it dry my feet as the DC did ?
Else a Pulsed Current device would make no sense.
3. Can I use higher current ?
Else a Pulsed Current device would make no sense.

I must add that my sweating is severe and when I am not using the machine my feet are dripping !

I am currently trying out (renting) a DC unit (RA Fischer MD-1) and it is causing blisters and moderate discomfort and after 7 treatments at 15ma hasn't stopped the sweating, so I am considering trying the PC (Hidrex or Idromed), but am concerned that I have read it isn't as effective on severe sweating. Is this the case? I am also not sure which unit would be better to buy if I decide to go this route.

this is not true, i oculd bet with pc you can drive full power wiht less skin irritations and more success with smoother current feel - believe me, try it, or send it back, i am sure you will love it!
dc is for hardliners
as i know you get a professional pc for the same price as the dc you have now, i would not think about more a minute

Thanks for the advice. The PC is a but more costly but it sounds like it may be worth it. Would you recommend the Hidrex or the Idromed?

depends on what you like / prefer or what you want to treat

Iontophoresis machine

here are some more informations concerning pulsed to direct current

Why is pulsed iontophoresis better?

Concerning the new PSP1000 from Hidrex (maybe some informations are dated at the moment, cause Hidrex has updated the PS500)
I would say: through the fact you can set the pulsating iontophoresis current in relationship from 50% to 90% in 10% steps, you can adjust the current itselfs not only in intension, also in its smoothness, this is a real cool feature. At 50% the current is the smoothest you can choose with this iontophoresis machine, with 90% you have the strongest possible pulsed current, and when you go to 100 you have a pulse with zero, that means pure direct current. Yo you can treat facial sweating or underarm sweat with 50%, hands for example with 70% and feet with 90%.
If you want an easy iontophoresis setup routine the Idromed wins over the Hidrex, same for the optic, but for the aibility to set the correlation of pause and pulse, the Hidrex has really made a real cool and "well thought out" iontophoresis machine.
